IPA (Part 1): El Chingon [Four Corners Brewing]; Hop Nosh [Unita]; Hop Manna [Shmaltz Brewing]

Mad Magic Money Michael Days here…and I want to blog…while sampling these beers. If you haven’t heard #BeerMeThree 005, then you are part of the 99.99999% of the world also not listening. But hey, are we here for listens or to sample some f*cking beer…am I right?

To start, a year ago, my palette could not handle the over hopiness of an IPA. The intense, sharp bitterness did not work well. #Gagreflex By nature, I avoided beers that had an IBU greater than 65. But here we are, a year after my day-drinking while touring BREWERIES at my bachelor party in Dallas Texas. This was a major milestone in my conversion to craftbeer appreciation. back in my college days, bud light lime used to hit the spot…or atleast I thought it was hitting a spot…until my bearded potter buddy brought home some baba black lager from uinta brewing.  ***The sky opened up, the beers gods descended, and bestowed a CURIOSITY within me that exceeded anything you could comprehend. ***
THis week on the pod we covered IPAS and everyone had a similar journey leading to their discovery the golden suds of ipas. Below are a few examples I have THOROUGHLY enjoyed since the pod, and will blog on whether I enjoyed them or wish them them the fiery fiery death of 1000 suns.
